IRIDESCENCE A, 2009
A collaborative installation by Ruth Lyons and Carl Giffney of The Good Hatchery @ Monster Truck Gallery, Francis st. Dublin.
The Good Hatchery were invited to exhibit at Monster Truck gallery, Francis Streetin 2009. The resulting work, Iridescence A, took the form of a sprawling installation encompassing a roof top construction connected to two luminous pods in the gallery spaces, via strings of coloured cables looping down the front of the building.Iridescence A is concerned with globalisation, the storage of energy and the material alterations that these inovations have affected on our landscape. Through the use of luminous refracted light Iridescence A speaks of the awesome nature of the hyper technical reality in which we operate.
